What no measurement can do
No single method can appraise everything: a diamond's value calls for gemological testing, and a coin's collectible value calls for numismatic knowledge — not just a scale. When an item is worth more than its gold, we tell you so. That is what a proper appraisal means.

Will I see the weighing and testing myself?
Yes — always. Weighing and purity testing happen in front of you, and we walk you through every step of the calculation.
Will the testing damage my jewelry?
No. The standard checks (weighing, hallmarks, dimensions) cause no damage at all. If a test that leaves a mark should ever be needed, we tell you first and proceed only with your consent.
How accurate is the karat measurement?
The combination of hallmark, testing and precision weighing gives a reliable result for jewelry and coins. In the rare doubtful case we suggest additional testing before any agreement.
Can you appraise diamonds the same way?
No — gemstones require a separate gemological appraisal based on the 4C criteria. We are upfront about it: every method has its limits.
